英南西部デボン州出身で兄ショーン、サムと共に音楽一家に育ち10代にして 早くもレイクマン・ブラザーズの名で注目される。94年にはケイト・ラスビー、 キャスリン・ロバーツという豪華女性デュオと合体、Equation を結成する。 2001年、Equation を脱退しソロ活動の道を歩み始める。 カーラのソロ・デビュー作に参加後、約二年間ツアーに同行し、テナー・ギター、 フィドル、さらにバック・ボーカルと、当時カーラ、サム、セスの三人編成だった バンドで一人三役をこなす重要な存在であった。 2002年よりソロ・アルバムを発表し続けており、ライブ・ツアーも毎年精力的に 行っている。クールな面立ちのセスだが、情熱的なボーカルと叙情的なフィドル 演奏を聞かせてくれる魅力的なアーティストだ。 Seth Lakeman official site |
